Fairytale. A fairytale theme is a really exciting theme, because there are lots of different possibilities: fairies, princesses, knights and dragons can all crop up in your designs. These kid's bedroom ideas can be really great if you have a boy and a girl sharing the same room, because there is something for everyone. You can even create four-poster beds, complete with curtains, so that your children can have a bit of privacy, whilst also feeling like royalty.
3. Alter the furniture. Rearrange the location of the furniture in the bedroom so that the room looks new. You do not necessarily put all old furniture back in the room. Choose only the most needed ones to create more spacious space for your teen. Painting the old furniture with color contrasting or related to the new wall pain will also create a different ambiance. As teens usually have many things to keep, mounting shelves on the wall for keeping books, displays, or other inventories is suggested.
1. Use what you have: don't go out and buy new furniture, bedcovers, curtains, etc. Take what you already have and make it better. Reorganize your furniture. Use those old sheets to make a new set of curtains. Repaint or refinish an item of furniture to create a \"new\" showcase item for your bedroom.
