In asking, 'What is interior design?' in today's environment, one must also begin to start thinking green and to look for ways to minimize the consumption of non-renewable energy sources. How does one create areas with a lot of natural lighting but not subject the individual to the blazing rays of the sun? How does one incorporate solar panels into the design or solar powered floor heaters in colder climates without losing the esthetic charm and ambiance of marble floors? These are the challenges of today's designers. It's a good thing that they love their jobs.
When all of your ideas are placed on a design board, visually, you will be able to sense what is creating drama and what is not working. Introducing new ideas is much easier and the process will start to flow. Finally, you will never forget the moment, when everything is working, and your Interior Design project is taking form. It is almost like a \"Runners High\". All of the Interior Design Element are finally coming together, creating the dramatic vision of your project. If you truly wish to create \"The Wow Effect\", do not skip this critical step. Your investment is too great, not to ensure a final dramatic effect. Always use a design board or concept board on any Interior Design project.
Often it is critical for the designer to understand the wants and needs of the individual or company leadership that is hiring them to make a space comfortable and esthetically pleasing to 'the eye of the beholder'; meaning whoever is paying the freight. This will require the designer to ask the question, 'What is interior design through the eyes of my employer?'
Organic interior design has become relevant in today's world because of the amount of pollution happening in our cities. Every day people are adding more air conditioners to their rooms. Many research have proved that emissions from these air conditioners is one of the reason for climate change. Organic interior decorators around the world are having the opinion that people are gradually thinking about organic interior designs for their rooms.
5. Understanding ... the Principles of Layering Color, Texture, and Effect. Think about it, almost everything that is appealing to the eye, was created with layers of Color, Texture, and Effect. We love to look at things that incorporated the \"Principles of Layering\". Color and Texture are the tools you work with, and Effect is that intangible that is generated when you bring the layers together. Think of the seasons, how in the Fall, the colors naturally compliment each other. If the wrong colors were introduced, you would not have the same effect.
